Thanks to our students and staff for collecting and depositing plastic bags in our bins. We collected over 10 pounds of plastic bags. Continue to deposit plastic bags in our bins to help save our environment.

A GREEN "Thank You" to Kohl's for taking our collection

Kohl's Associates gather plastic from incoming merchandise. Customers are also able to return unwanted plastic bags of any type to our stores. This plastic is sent to our distribution center to be baled. Baled plastic is recycled into pellets or film that is then made into new items.

November 9, 2015 through April 15, 2016

Bring your plastic to school and place them in one of the cardboard receptacles located in the hallways.
Winning schools will be announced Earth Day, Friday, April 22, 2016!

Every year hundreds of schools across the nation compete against each other to recycle the most plastic film. In addition to providing a better understanding and appreciation for the importance of recycling, Trex will happily donate a high-performance composite bench to the winning school, and bestow honorary awards to every school that participates.
